Although physically intense with limited acclimatization time, the route rewards hikers with breathtaking landscapes—from dense rainforest to alpine desert and glacier-capped summit.

Itinerary
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. In the evening, meet your mountain guide for a detailed briefing and gear check.

After breakfast, drive to Umbwe Gate to begin your trek. The trail starts with a steep climb through dense rainforest, offering a true sense of adventure from the very beginning.

The trail continues along a narrow ridge, gradually leaving the forest behind and entering moorland terrain. Enjoy stunning views before descending into the Barranco Valley.

Start the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall—a steep but non-technical scramble. From the top, continue across ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp.

Trek through alpine desert terrain to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt. After an early dinner, rest and prepare for the midnight climb.

Around midnight, begin your summit push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. After reaching the summit, descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest, then continue down to Mweka Gate for exit and transfer back to your hotel.
